Roster Projection
In today's sports marketplace, player salaries and team financials play an ever increasing role in the business behind team sports. LBi's Roster Projection technology helps league and team officials prepare for the future by offering an advanced and powerful tool with which to model player signings, roster movements, cash transactions, and other information relevant to finances. This tool enables team officials to easily estimate the effect of various moves on the salary cap or luxury tax. No longer are the confusing business rules of sports a roadblock; General Managers, Presidents, and other team or league personnel can quickly, and with certainty, view financials after a set of roster moves have been entered.
Users are able to start with a team's current roster and play the "What if?" game - signing new players, reassigning current players, terminating contracts, making trades, and/or any number of different transactions - to see how this would affect their overall budget. The business rules, and how these actions affect the overall financials, are part of the system, handled automatically behind the scenes. With a few clicks of the mouse, team officials can prepare for the future of their organization by calculating important figures and determining how they can best spend their money.
