Through the use of this player-centric design methodology we can design and develop a solution that integrates all aspects of sports management. The typical design begins with the player-centric view – the entire application views the data and events around the player. It begins with a player’s summary record, displaying a snapshot of current information including biographical data, and general player information such as statistics, injuries, contract history, scouting reports, draft selection and roster movement. From this snapshot the user can then drill down to a more detailed view. For example, from the list of contracts in the contract history, a user can select a specific contract to view details online.

Roster Management: This includes the processing of roster transactions within and between the League/Association as well as Minor or Affiliated Leagues, and ensures they conform to that particular sport’s Rules Book. The rules are enforced through a table driven process to facilitate future rule changes. LBi can design a system that will be able to track players and their teams, keeping current each team’s roster while monitoring the rosters in real time for rule violations. Daily summary reports can be produced to summarize the daily activities. Ad hoc reports are also available.

Contract Management: All leagues require that contracts be saved; what better way than on-line, for instant retrieval anywhere, anytime? The entire contract, including every legal clause and bonus item, will be entered and stored. The existing workflow for entering, approving and retrieving contracts can be fully incorporated.

Draft Management: LBi utilizes cutting edge technologies that allow our clients to smoothly and effortlessly manage one of the most important days in any competitive sports league – draft day. Individual users have the ability to set up a "pre-ranking" queue prior to the draft and make real time selections on draft day. See Real Time Drafts for more details.

Statistical Data Analysis and Reporting: Reports can be created to track player performance metrics across an entire career. Detailed reports will relate statistical data to information from other components, such as statistics vs. player compensation.
|
|
Scouting Management: Envision a design that allows scouts full access to scouting information on-line or off-line. Scouts will be able to enter player information and scouting evaluations as well as maintain a master list of schools, amateur and junior teams, and their schedules. Scouts can use an off-line or wireless version to access information at the game. This off-line application will connect to the central database through dialup or VPN and will synchronize its local database with the master database.

Roster/Cap Projections: In today's sports marketplace, player salaries and team financials play an ever increasing role in the business behind team sports. LBi's Roster Projection technology helps league and team officials prepare for the future by offering an advanced and powerful tool with which to model player signings, roster movements, cash transactions, and other information relevant to finances. Users are able to start with a team's current roster and play the "What if?" game - signing new players, reassigning current players, terminating contracts, making trades, and/or any number of different transactions - to see how it would affect their budget. See Roster Projection for more details.
